One sunny afternoon, Timmy was playing with his toy car in the garden. His mom called him from inside the house. "Timmy! Could you please come here for a moment?" she said.

Timmy looked at his car, which was just about to reach the finish line. He hesitated for a second but decided it would only take a few minutes. "Okay, Mom!" he replied and put down his toy car carefully on the grass.

When Timmy entered the kitchen, his mom handed him a small basket. "I need you to go to the store nearby and buy some eggs," she explained. "There’s no time to waste, so hurry back."

"Sure thing!" Timmy grabbed the basket and rushed out of the door. On his way to the store, he saw Mrs. Brown walking her dog. She smiled and asked how he was doing. Timmy stopped for a brief chat, enjoying the friendly conversation.

After saying goodbye to Mrs. Brown, Timmy remembered that he still had to get the eggs. He quickened his pace and arrived at the store in no time. The storekeeper helped him find the eggs and even wished him a good day as he left.

Back home, Timmy handed the basket of eggs to his mom. "Thank you, dear!" she said with a smile. "That was quick!"

Timmy felt proud of himself. Sometimes, taking a little extra time to help others can make the wait worthwhile.
